We held a special lunch in our Learning Center for a couple of lucky Carpenter students. Mikayla and Lauren won the raffle at the Barnes and Noble Bookfair on November 8th. As a result, they got to enjoy a special pizza lunch with Mrs. Loftus, Mr. Balduf, and Mrs. Lech. We learned that both girls have similar interests in animals and they even created a deal that Mikayla would save the animals and Lauren would take care of them. We may be seeing the beginnings of a future partnership. Mrs. Loftus shared how proceeds from the bookfair helped us buy a lot of new books for the Learning Center, mainly with a science-based theme. Mikayla and Lauren will be the first to check out some of the new books we previewed together. Thank you to everyone who came out to the Barnes and Noble Bookfair and we hope to see the event grow in years to come.
