It was another fun Carpenter day, albeit in a different city a little east of Park Ridge. It was the annual bookfair at Barnes & Noble. According to initial reports, there were over $6000 in sales and a portion of those sales come back to Carpenter. It was shared with me that our contact at B&N reported, "Carpenter students were the most polite, well-behaved school that she had ever seen in the store." That is a really big compliment to our school community, one that I am very proud to hear. I would like to thank Maura El Metennani and Kay Schenfeld our PTO Bookfair committee chairs. I'd also like to thank Mrs. Loftus for organizing and coordinating the event and making it after feeling a little under the weather. Thank you to all of the volunteers who made it a terrific event!
