We've been so exceptionally busy, it's been difficult keeping up the chronicle of Carpenter activities. However, in the spirit of continuous improvement, I thought we'd try another new way of sharing information with you, keep reading. On Thursday morning, Carpenter had its annual end of the year assembly. We recognized students participation in various activities and clubs throughout the year including Girls on the Run, Chorus, Young Author's, etc. We had several students who also had their art recognized that will be added to the Carpenter collection of framed student work throughout the building. We emphasized that it isn't quite the end of the year yet, but with all of our exciting activities next week, we couldn't find a time to fit in this assembly, so we had it a little early. As part of the assembly, we recognized Mrs. Smee who will be leaving us potentially for a year as well as celebrated the retirement of Mrs. Risk, our health assistant for over a decade. Part of the assembly was a 9 minute video that we showed that was a musical collage of our year at Carpenter thanks to Mrs. Lech, Ms. Pelsor and contributing photographers. It didn't capture every student or every activity, but was a nice way for the students to say goodbye. Mrs. Risk was also presented with a beautifully designed art piece by Mrs. Bianchi that was signed by every student.
I'm going to try to share some material with you a little differently - I hope you enjoy.
