Financial updates from the May 22, 2017 Board of Education included:
- District 64 has earned the top score in the Financial Recognition category on the Illinois State Board of Education financial profile for 2017, based on data for the fiscal year ended June 20, 2016. This is the eighth consecutive year District 64 has achieved a perfect 4.0 score. Read more about this accomplishment here.
- Public hearing on June 26 to amend current budget - The District will amend its current fiscal year budget to reflect new revenues received from $9.25 million in debt certificates issued earlier this spring, and related costs of the issuance. The debt certificates do not increase local property tax bills. They are part of a funding framework approved to finance Health Life Safety, critical infrastructure and capital projects at the schools over the next five years.
