This year, the Park Ridge Kiwanis raised an unprecedented amount -- over $7,000 -- to provide generous holiday gift baskets that will benefit 36 of our neediest families. The families remain anonymous, and were nominated by the social workers at our schools based on their low-income status. Each family has received $200 in gift cards plus a coupon from Mariano's for a ham and pie.
We are delighted that the Kiwanis have “adopted” District 64 and thank them for their generosity in raising the funds to help make the holidays brighter for so many of our neediest students.
