It is an outgrowth of Illinois Arts Education Week (March 12-18, 2018), an annual initiative sponsored cooperatively by the Illinois Alliance for Art Education (IAAE), the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), and the Governor's Office. The initiative reinforces the importance of the arts in the growth and development of all Illinois students.
