The District 64 Elementary Learning Foundation (ELF) officially introduced the winners of its annual Judith L. Snow awards for ethical leadership to the District 64 Board of Education at the June 13 meeting.

The winners are principled students who lead with integrity, selflessness, dependability, caring and fairness, according to ELF Trustee Julie Cook, who chaired this year's committee.

Representing Emerson Middle School are Ravi Finn and Daniela Milito. Greta Miller and Charlotte Geier were selected from Lincoln Middle School. Read more about the 2016 winners' accomplishments here.

The announcements of the winners were shared at the middle school promotion exercises. The students' names have also been added to an honor plaque at each school.

The annual award is named in memory of Judith L. Snow, a 25-year resident of Park Ridge and dedicated member of the League of Women Voters.  She gave selflessly of her time and talent, and was highly respected within the League and the community for her courage and leadership. ELF selects one or more eighth grade students annually for this special recognition.
