Award-Winning

Emerson was re-designated in 2018 by the Association for Illinois Middle Schools (AIMS) as a "Horizon School to Watch". Illinois' Horizon Schools to Watch demonstrate academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and organizational structures and processes designed to support a trajectory toward excellence. In addition to 2018, Emerson won the award in 2009, 2012 and 2015.
