This past Friday, Emerson’s 8th grade students experienced a Career Day Event, which was a collaboration between Junior Achievement (a non-profit organization) and the District 64 counseling departments. During Career Day, students learned about a variety of careers from volunteer speakers who shared their work experiences and the paths they took to achieve their career goals. Students heard presentations from a music producer, clay artist, lawyer, human resources specialist and an accountant, to name a few.
