Real-life Immigration Presentation

Real-life Immigration Presentation

In 7th grade Social Studies, students are learning about immigration during the late 1800's and 1900's. On Tuesday, September 22 the Badger Core had the opportunity to listen to a guest speaker. The guest speaker was an immigrant himself, who spoke about his journey from Italy, travels through Ellis Island, as well as what life was like as a new immigrant living in Chicago, Illinois. At the end of the speaker's presentation, students took the opportunity to ask meaningful questions, about what life was like as an immigrant coming to the United States. It was a great real-life experience for our students.
