During the evening of Thursday, December 3, the Emerson PTO sponsored a book fair at Barnes & Noble in Skokie. Emerson's orchestra, band and Vocal Power groups performed many holiday songs during the wonderful holiday event. Students volunteered to wrap purchased gifts, as well as manage a cookie decorating table. It was heartwarming to see so many of our students writing get-well holiday letters to children in hospitals. To end the festivities, the children enjoyed a scavenger-hunt arranged by the PTO. All in all, it was an enjoyable evening for everyone.
