7th Grade Walk for Water

7th Grade Walk for Water

The 7th grade Moose and Hippo cores will be holding our Walk for Water this Thursday, May 26th from 12:00 to 2:30.  We will be walking around the athletic field, but if it happens to rain that day, we will be walking in the gym.  Students will be walking while carrying gallons of water, in solidarity with the millions around the world who have to walk for water each day.  At the end of the walk, we will be donating the water to the Maine Township Food Pantry.

Our 7th graders have learned a lot about water and the water situation in the world this year. Here is a link to a page which describes the project in Kenya with which we are partnered through the organization H2O for Life.  A parent in our team also wrote this article in the Advocate about our efforts as well as local water issues.
