Concert Orchestra 1 students participated in a two-hour, intensive workshop on Tuesday, March 24 combined with students from Lincoln Middle School. This workshop was led by conductor Victor Muenzer, Music Director of the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra. The clinic featured an in-depth rehearsal of both classical and popular repertoire, including Haydn's Symphony No. 50 (finale); The Code by Alan Lee Silva, and an orchestral version of Taylor Swift's Shake It Off.
This was truly a rewarding and educational experience for our young musicians. The Emerson and Lincoln Orchestras will be performing these selections at their spring concerts.
