Early this morning (Tuesday), the Maine South Chamber Orchestra joined the Emerson Concert Orchestra 1 in their before-school rehearsal.
Emerson orchestra students were treated to a performance by the Maine South Chamber Orchestra and had an opportunity to hear about the orchestra program at the high school. This was a terrific opportunity for the middle school students to ask questions about the program, and hear the many ways to continue their musical studies after departing Emerson.
Following Maine South's performance, all students participated in a side-by-side rehearsal. High school students were paired up with middle school students and rehearsed songs together that will be performed on our concert taking place this Thursday, February 9.
It was a wonderful morning! Thank you to Martin Nocedal (Maine South orchestra director) for working together to provide this terrific opportunity for our students.
