Teacher Appreciation Week is May 1-5

Each year, District 64 invites families to acknowledge our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week May 1-5. We know the Park Ridge-Niles community values quality education and in particular, the outstanding contributions our teachers make to guide and develop each student to reach his or her full potential.

We hope you will take a moment to send a note of thanks or email to the teaching staff for their efforts. A directory of staff is available here. Please remember our school health assistants and nurses on School Nurse Day (May 10), too. Your kind gestures are particularly welcome on these days!

Throughout District 64, all school PTO/As are organizing special ways for their students and families to thank teachers for their dedication during Teacher Appreciation Week.

At Washington School, students are showing their appreciation with the theme: "A Great Teacher Makes All the Difference in the World!" Students created figures of each faculty member highlighting their notable qualities to hang along the main hallways as they "hold hands around the world" and added translations for "thank you" in many different languages.

Together We Discover, Learn, Grow & Care

At D64, our mission is to foster opportunities for discovery, engagement, and growth for all students. We accomplish this by nurturing interdependence, appreciation of differences, and care for self and others.
