New Board of Education seated

The District 64 Board of Education underwent an important transition May 1 with the official changeover of members, following the April municipal elections.

Four members of the Board of Education were saluted for their dedication and service to our students, staff and community as they retired from Board duties. The departing members are (FROM LEFT) Board Vice President Scott Zimmerman; Board member Terry Cameron; Board Secretary Vicki Lee; and member Bob Johnson. Their names have been added to District 64's roll of past Board members available on our website.

Four new members were sworn in and seated to begin their four-year terms: Larry E. Ryles, Richard B. Biagi, Alfred C. Sanchez, and Eastman Tiu. Continuing on the Board are Anthony Borrelli, Mark Eggemann, and Tom Sotos.

The new Board elected leaders to serve until the next elections in 2019. Anthony Borrelli was re-elected for a third term as President. He will be joined by Rick Biagi as Vice President and Tom Sotos as Secretary. The Board also adopted its calendar of regular meetings for 2017-18.
