Student artwork in a myriad of media -- copper repousse, ceramics, photography, fiber art, painting, drawing and more -- are showcased at the Park Ridge Library through March 28, 2019. The special exhibit highlights students’ creativity using many different mediums and tools to produce their art, and illustrates how students’ skills broaden as they advance through the art curriculum.

Youth Art Month is sponsored by the Illinois Art Education Association to specifically highlight visual art. It is an outgrowth of Illinois Arts Education Week (March 11-17, 2019), an annual initiative sponsored cooperatively by the Illinois State Board of Education and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in cooperation with the Illinois Art Education Association. The initiative reinforces the importance of the arts in the growth and development of all Illinois students.
