All Field Students were treated to a wonderful show by the Science Alliance on Friday. The show taught students about the concepts of physics using many visual demonstrations and allowing for a lot of student participation. The show explored topics such as light and sound, wavelength and frequency, prisms, the visible spectrum and Newton's Law. The format was engaging, and the show finished with many students taking turns riding a hoverboard. We are so fortunate to have a PTO that provides our students with these sorts of opportunities!this program demonstrates the wonders of basic Physics. We explore light and sound, wavelength and frequency, prisms and ROYGBIV, the colors that make up the visible spectrum. Kids observe Newton's Laws of Motion by witnessing a student volunteer ride a jet-powered tricycle while others ride a REAL Hovercraft!
Thanks to the PTO for another wonderful assembly!
