Today our students started the day with a special treat. We had some Maine South Hawks football players come to show our school their Illinois State Championship trophy. The students lined up outside their classrooms to applaud and high five the players. Our kindergarten students even changed "Go Hawks Go", while some band members played the Maine South fight song. Five of the players went to Field School, so I told students that some day they could be the ones being honored if they work hard and do their best at something. Congratulations again to Maine South!
