District 64 Seats New Board Members, Elects Officers

The Board of Education of Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 conducted its organizational meeting on May 4.  New Board members Mark Eggemann and Tom Sotos along with re-elected member Anthony Borrelli took the oath of office for their four-year terms expiring in 2019. Returning member Bob Johnson was sworn in for a two-year term expiring in 2017.

Members then elected Board officers to serve until 2017.  The current officers were re-elected to their positions: Anthony Borrelli, President; Scott Zimmerman, Vice-President; and Vicki Lee, Secretary.  Also continuing on the Board is member Dathan Paterno.

In addition, the Board expressed its appreciation to retiring members John Heyde and Dan Collins for their dedicated efforts on behalf of the schools. Collins is leaving the Board having served a four-year term; Heyde is leaving the Board having served eight years, including four years as President.

“District 64 is so grateful for having such dedicated and thoughtful Board members represent the community,” according to Superintendent Laurie Heinz. “Their contributions will have a lasting impact on staff and students in District 64,” she added.
