Message from the Principal

Welcome to another exciting year of learning at Lincoln Middle School. We look forward to partnering together with you to create an educational experience that brings together academic, social, and emotional learning for all of our students. It is our hope that this website provides you with relevant information to assist you and your child along the way. 

The mission of Lincoln Middle School is to meet the intellectual and developmental needs of young adolescents in a positive, safe, and multi-disciplinary environment, and to prepare them for a socially responsible life in a changing global society. We recognize that our students are at a critical point in their lives, and we look to provide them opportunities to better themselves and the world in which they live. Strong academic achievement is a priority for the entire Lincoln learning community, as is the development of the skills to become aware of and involved in our rapidly changing world.

As a middle school, we follow the tenets of the Association of Middle Level Education, which believes an education for adolescents must be:

• Developmentally Responsive - Using the nature of young adolescents as the foundation on which all decisions are made           
• Challenging - Recognizing that every student can learn and everyone is held to high expectations        
• Empowering - Providing all students with the knowledge and skills they need to take control of their lives 
• Equitable - Advocating for every student's right to learn and providing challenging and relevant learning opportunities 

Through our core academics, expansive elective offerings, social/academic supports, extracurricular activities, and tremendous community support, Lincoln remains at the forefront of national middle school programs. We are proud of our students, our staff, and our school and we look forward to celebrating the success of your student this school year.
