From Walk & Talk visits of classrooms across D64 to updates about new curriculum offerings, social emotional learning and achievement data, Superintendent Laurie Heinz recently shared with parents her highlights, points of pride and appreciation as the school year came to a close.
Dr. Heinz pointed out that students’ success and high growth are a reflection of the District’s continued commitment to differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners -- an essential focus of our 2020 Vision Strategic Plan now wrapping up its third year of implementation. Dr. Heinz extended special thanks to staff, parents, school PTO/As and the Elementary Learning Foundation, as well as community members for creating a strong home/school connection and by keeping the lines of communication open through phone calls, emails, or participation in a variety of parent groups or face-to-face meetings. Dr. Heinz affirmed that these connections create a culture of caring and involvement that improves the lives of our entire District 64 community.
