District 64 Invites Recognition November 15 for Board Members Who "Stand Up 4 Schools"

Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 is joining with other Illinois districts on Saturday, November 15 to thank the seven members of our Board of Education for “standing up” for public education.  This year’s theme – “Stand Up 4 Public Schools” – illustrates the leadership of elected school board members who work to ensure high quality public education in their communities.

Students at Franklin School, 2401 Manor Lane, Park Ridge, will have the honor this year of presenting certificates of appreciation to the District 64 Board when it meets there on Monday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m.

District 64 encourages all local residents to take this once-a-year opportunity to thank the seven community volunteers who “stand up” for quality education in our own Park Ridge-Niles community.  As elected representatives, they are the voice of Park Ridge-Niles residents and dedicate hundreds of hours each year to providing oversight for our 4,300 students and 600 staff members.  From facilities and finance to curriculum and student achievement, Board members establish goals and monitor progress across a wide range of areas.

We urge all members of our community to reach out to our current Board:  Anthony Borrelli, President; Scott Zimmerman, Vice-President; Vicki Lee, Secretary; and members Dan Collins, John Heyde, Bob Johnson, and Dathan Paterno.

Contact the Board via email through the District 64 website.
