Thank you to all of the following people for dedicating time and effort to give the Reading Garden new life.
Thank you to Aidan Buschmann, former Roosevelt student, who raised funds, organized volunteers and cleaned up the reading garden by power washing the pavers and adding sand, removing dead plants and planting new ones, and spreading new mulch. He also removed the bench slats and sanded them down to prep them for the Roosevelt PTO to paint. He then re-installed the slats for the finishing touch. His efforts will hopefully earn him his Eagle Scout Badge. He would like to thank:
Boy Scout Troop #76 and their families, Scott Ronczy and Steve Ek from Ek Automotive.
Thank you to Mrs. Tara Marolt, Roosevelt art teacher, who created the designs and offered artistic support to beautify the space.
Thank you to Dan Galuska of Park Ridge Paint, Glass and Wallpaper on Devon for his expert advice and for discounting all the paint and supplies for the PTO as a non-profit organization.
Thank you to the Roosevelt PTO for organizing the painting portion of this project and providing the funds.
