Registration of all students returning for the 2018-19 school year began on Monday, April 23. On that day, families should have received an email directly from PowerSchool/Infosnap for each child currently enrolled in District 64 schools. Each email contained a secure “snapcode” that links directly to each student’s individual PowerSchool/Infosnap account.
New this year, the District is offering a deferred payment option for student fees that allows families to be invoiced on August 31, and will then have 30 days to pay. We hope this will help families complete registration earlier, so that D64 can better plan for the upcoming school year. This is the 10th year that annual student registration fees are unchanged.
In addition, residency pre-screening using a new security tool, called Clear Batch, is identifying which families will need to provide residency paperwork as part of the PowerSchool/Infosnap registration. Families will see whether they are requested to provide documents within the PowerSchool/Infosnap registration.
Registration should be completed as soon as possible but no later than Thursday, May 31, so that school principals may place them on a core/class list and include them in their planning for the upcoming school year. Students will not be placed on a core/classroom list for 2018-19 until the PowerSchool/Infosnap registration has been completed and approved by the District.
Pre-enrollment for preschool, kindergarten and new/transfer students at any grade for 2018-19 also is open. Visit our Registration webpage to pre-enroll. A child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2018 to be eligible for kindergarten.
