With the recent addition of Full Day Kindergarten in District 64, additions and construction projects are being done at each elementary school in order to create the necessary space.
Starting on March 14 and going through March 18 you’ll see the first steps in this process at Roosevelt. That week temporary fencing will be installed around much of the east and south sides of campus. This fencing will enclose the entire construction site as well as the temporary staging and roadways necessary for the contractor. The entrance for the construction site will be on Prospect Avenue, just north of Talcott Road.
If you have any questions or would like to see the site plans and renderings, a Construction Open House with District 64 Administration will be held in the north gym at Roosevelt at 6:30 on Tuesday, April 12. This is not an opportunity to ask questions about curriculum, the program itself, or kindergarten logistics. This meeting is to only discuss the construction.
