Outstanding artwork created by District 64 students is on display at two community venues this month.
In collaboration with District 207, each year works of middle school students are selected for a special show during Maine East High School's annual Art Exhibition. The middle school exhibit runs from March 8-11 in the Maine East Actors' Studio during the second weekend of the school's March musical, The Addams Family.
Works of art from 13 Emerson Middle School students were selected for the exhibit, including:
- Grade 6: Katrina Hassman, 2-point perspective cityscape; and Kathryn Varga, clay slab vessel
- Grade 7: Diana Tuebo, celebrity monochromatic painting; Mary O'Brien, clay coil vessel; and Anna Matushevsky, colored pencil drawing; and,

Students and their families enjoyed an opening reception on March 8 at Maine East.
In celebration of Youth Art Month, works from 30 students from grades K-8 delights patrons at the Park Ridge Public Library through March. The special exhibit showcases students’ creativity using many different mediums and tools to produce their art and illustrates how students’ skills broaden as they advance through the art curriculum.
