Like many years past the common question of the day has been, ‘how many laps did you get?” This year was no different, except there were additional questions coming from students coming from their excitement on raising money to help update our school playground. On Friday, September 15th, students, staff, families, and community members gathered around the track at Washington School to cheer on our students as they participated in this years Walk-A-Thon. Even with the temperature reaching almost 90 degrees our students were determined to reach their individual goals. It was so exciting to see so many students and families invested in this fun and special day. Our Walk-A-Thon may be over, but our fundraising days are not behind us. Please continue to check Washington’s PTO website for upcoming opportunities to help Washington and our community to reach our goal of building a new playground. A special Wildcat thank you to all of the families, and businesses who have already donated both time and money to this cause. Thank you to the Walk-A-Thon committee and volunteers who once again gave students a memory they will never forget.
