Washington is Thankful…
By: Shari Lazor- Assistant Principal
What a great time of year! This is the time where we should take a moment out of our days to remember why we are thankful for all the great people and things in our lives. Washington staff members have developed many opportunities for students to think of ways that they are thankful. If you look around the halls, you will see many of these reasons family, friends, pets, toys, and books to name a few. In addition to discussing why we are thankful, many classrooms have spent time learning about the first Thanksgiving and how it came about. They have read a variety of nonfiction and fiction texts, and have spent time researching the holiday and its significance.
As a staff, we would like to thank all of the wonderful Washington families for their support and dedication to our students and our school. We hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
