Congratulations to students and staff at Lincoln Middle School who are wrapping up their third, record-setting drive to help the St. Baldrick's Foundation end childhood cancers. More than 170 students and staff lined up pledges as they "braved the shave" on Friday, March 18 and 174 more raised funds through raffles, bake sales, T-shirts sales and other creative appeals.
See the Fox-32 TV report on the head shaving event here.
Lincoln's previous drives raised a combined $135,000, so this year's total will push them well over $261,000 -- more than a quarter of a million dollars!
The school schedules the event on a three-year cycle, so every Lincoln student can experience it once during their middle school years.
