Calendar for School Year 2024-2025

(adopted by the Board of Education on December 21st, 2023)

Highlights:

• First day of school for students (K-8): Wednesday, August 14th, 2024
• First day of school for Pre-K students: Thursday, August 15th, 2024
• Fall Break: Tuesday, November 26th through Friday, November 29th 2024
  • Monday, November 25th, is designated as a Parent-Teacher Conference Day - No Student Attendance
• Winter Break: Monday, December 23rd through Friday, January 3rd 2025
• Spring Break: Monday, March 24th through Friday, March 28th 2025
• Last day of school: Friday, May 30th, 2025 (In the event Friday, May 30th is designated as records/planning day, Thursday, May 29th will be the last day of school for students)

What happens after a certain amount of snow/cold days?

After the use of three snow or cold weather days prior to February, the record planning day in Feb. becomes a student attendance day. If there were to be another snow or cold weather day after that, then students report to school on the last day of the year, which is a student record day. It is at that point that if we missed more student attendance days, the District would need to explore extending the school year. 

Also of note, if we need to close one school for an emergency, it still counts as an attendance day for all schools across the District.
 

Calendar for School Year 2025-2026

Please note: This calendar is the official school year calendar adopted by the Board of Education and follows state guidelines. 

Highlights:

• First day of school for all students (Preschool-8): Thursday, August 21, 2025
  • For Jefferson Families: Due to screening required in the Preschool for All Grant, student attendance days will be slightly impacted and a finalized Jefferson student attendance calendar will be shared in the near future. All major student days off (Spring Break, Winter Break, etc.) are the same for all schools.
• Fall Break: Monday, November 24 through Friday, November 28, 2025
• Winter Break: Monday, December 22 through Friday, January 2, 2026
• Spring Break: Monday, March 23 through Friday, March 27, 2026
• Last day of school: Thursday, June 4, 2026 
  • (In the event Thursday, June 4 is designated as records/planning day, Wednesday, June 3 will be the last day of school for students)
