App To Follow Your Child's Bus Route
We are excited to offer you a way to track your child’s bus through the “Here Comes the Bus” app! You can easily download the app on your phone and start tracking your child or children on their bus routes. Our families with children in K-8 now have the ability to download the app and track their child's bus route.
Please proceed with downloading the app to your phone and setting up an account.
- You can find the Here Comes The Bus App in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- To set up the account, click the ‘Sign Up’ option at the bottom of the login screen.
- Click Login & Sign Up Today.
- You will have to check your email for two-factor authentication, but you want to set this up on your phone and not on your desktop/laptop.
- When asked, the school code is 30250.
- Please add students to your account. You will need the last name and student ID from PowerSchool. If you need help logging into the PowerSchool parent portal, the directions are here. You will need your students last name and student ID number to track the bus.

Registration
Free bus transportation is available for students (grades K-8) if they live 1.5 miles or more from school or who live in an area that is declared to be hazardous by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
- For new students, please contact Dru Sabres, Transportation Assistant/Business Operations Specialist, at 847-318-4325 or via email at dsabres@d64.org to determine your student's eligibility for services. Please include the student's name, school, and home address in your message.
- Returning students eligible to ride for free were asked to indicate in the annual Infosnap/PowerSchool registration in the spring whether they intended to ride the bus for the coming school year.
Paid bus service is offered for students, if space is available, for those who live between 0.5 miles - 1.5 miles away from school. Paid riders must use an existing bus stop; no new stops will be added. The cost for paid transportation is $550.00 per student for a full year.
Questions about billing? Please contact District 64 Comptroller Larry Ohannes at 847-318-4322 or reach him by email.
