District 64 cancels School Board meeting

District 64 cancels School Board meeting

The District 64 School Board will not meet as scheduled on Monday, March 16. The Board made the decision to cancel the meeting Monday afternoon out of an abundance of caution related to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

At this point, there are still no reported cases of the virus in the District 64 school community.

Board members along with District 64 administrators are currently exploring dates to reschedule the meeting as soon as possible.

Among the agenda items was approval of contracts for transportation services, food management services and natural gas, and action on the personnel report. The full agenda is available on the district’s website, www.d64.org.

The meeting was to be held in the multi-purpose room at Washington Elementary School. There is no student attendance this week due to concerns over the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the district is running its E-learning program Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week and Monday, March 30 (following Spring Break).
