Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 continues to seek the public's input on changes and expansion of its special education services.
If you haven’t already done so, we’re asking you to learn about the adding of this program to our continuum of services by watching this brief video presentation. Next, we’d like you to answer a few questions about what you see as the strengths of the program and what concerns you may have about it. Please fill out the survey by noon on Friday, April 24. The feedback we receive will be shared with the Board of Education at its special meeting on Monday, April 27 where Board members are expecting to consider and vote on the administration’s proposal.
The district has produced a brief video presentation about what it would mean to add this program to our continuum of services. Community members are asked to watch the video before answering a few questions about what they see as the strengths of the program and what concerns they may have about it. The survey and video are both available on the District 64 website. The survey will be open until noon on Friday, April 24. The feedback received will be shared with the Board of Education at its special meeting on Monday, April 27, where the Board will consider the administration’s proposal.
The purpose of this video presentation is to both provide information to the public and to gain stakeholder feedback on proposed changes and expansion of the district’s special education services. This presentation and online form replaces the community forum originally scheduled for April 2.
The feedback already received from the community last week has been compiled and analyzed along with charts and a brief narrative. A “Frequently Asked Questions” document is also available for review. This information is posted on the Special Education Parent Resource page of the website.
