If there's ever been a year to celebrate our teachers, this is it!
There's no doubt, the COVID-19 pandemic has made it a difficult year for schools. Both teachers and students had to adapt to remote learning, limits to in-person learning and a hybrid variation of both classroom and in-person education.
This makes it all the most important to acknowledge our teachers during our annual Teacher Appreciation Week from May 3-7. Our teaching staff has had to work extra hard this year. Despite so many obstacles in their way (masks, social distancing, and restrictions on sharing books, pens, etc), our amazing teachers still managed to reach their students.
We know the Park Ridge-Niles community values quality education and in particular, the outstanding contributions our teachers make to guide and develop each student to reach his or her full potential. We hope you will take a moment to send a note of thanks or email to the teaching staff for their efforts.
And don't forget our nursing staff: District 64 is also honoring our nurses/health assistants on National Nurses Day, Thursday, May 6.
