District 64 Schools to Host Annual Parent Nights for 2014-15

District 64 Schools to Host Annual Parent Nights for 2014-15

Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 is extending a warm welcome to parents to attend the annual school Curriculum Nights planned during the first weeks of the new school year.

“As excited as students are to get settled in with their new teachers and friends at the start of the year, we know that parents also are looking forward to meeting their child’s teachers and to understand what’s ahead for their child as they begin a new grade in school,” according to Superintendent Laurie Heinz.

“Back-to-school nights for parents set the tone for the year ahead and start creating successful home-school partnerships, which are key to helping every child stay challenged, engaged and reaching greater heights,” she added.

The evening events exclusively for parents/guardians provide a preview of what children will be learning and how District 64’s new 21st Century Learning Plan is being implemented.  Parents receive a grade-level Learner Objective booklet that details the educational program, and are briefed on other important school and classroom routines.

Here is the schedule for the 2014-15 parent/guardian evenings:
