CEC Audit 2015 - Overview
Video Podcasts Below
To help us identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement, District 64 engaged an external organization - the Consortium for Educational Change (CEC) - to conduct an audit. This District-level process - called a “System Overview Assessment” - allows us to benchmark our District against effective practices of other "high performing" districts. The CEC utilizes a framework built around the Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence Program and also embraces the Professional Learning Community model.
On February 3-5, 2015, a 29-member team from CEC visited to review self-study materials and evidence, and interview stakeholders. The team fanned out to visit all eight schools to interview students, teachers and parents - almost 1,000 stakeholders in all - to evaluate how accurate the self-study reflected current practice throughout the District around three key indicators: learning, collaboration, and results.
