D64 Shining Stars from Roosevelt:

District 64 celebrates excellence this January with Roosevelt Elementary School’s Head Secretary, Salena Flint, as our Shining Star. You can read more about Flint on our website. Our student honoree wasn’t able to attend, so we will celebrate them next month as well!

Adoption of Resolution #1355

Directing the Chief School Business Official Under the Direct Supervision of the Superintendent to Begin Preparation of a Tentative Budget for the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year in accordance with Board Policy 4:10 Fiscal and Business Management and the Illinois School Code 105 ILCS 5/17-1

to sell not to exceed $65,000,000 in Building Bonds for the purpose of funding projects approved by referendum at the November 5, 2024, general election.

  • Policy Committee - As a component of the switch to PRESS Plus, Tammie Ng, Director of Policy Services for the Illinois Association of School Boards, met with the Board’s Policy Committee to review, edit, and update all of the district’s policies. The vast majority of the District’s policies were already in compliance with current law and the Illinois State Board of Education code. The committee identified 22 policies that needed to be reviewed and potentially updated.
