Emerson 7th graders help collect nearly 500 lunches

We wanted to celebrate the great work the Emerson 7th Grade Student Government Association (SGA) did with its school-wide service project earlier this month.

It was a group effort of students, families, and staff who gathered to pack and collect hundreds of brown bag lunches for Uncle Pete’s Lunches, a program dedicated to providing meals to those in need across the Chicagoland area.

The SGA worked hard to prepare and pack 100 lunches the day before. On the morning of February 7th, they collected 390 lunches as students arrived at school. This decade-long service project helped collect 490 lunches for Uncle Pete’s.

Awesome job!
