Review our winter school closing guidelines for 2016-17

As the colder weather arrives in the Midwest, District 64 has updated our winter closing guidelines for 2016-17.

Last year, District 64 worked with other local Maine Township and north suburban school districts to develop new guidelines that focus on wind chill and use the National Weather Service distinctions between an advisory and a warning (among other factors) when considering whether schools will be closed.

The 2016-17 guidelines continue that focus and can be reviewed here.
As always, our first priority is the safety of students and staff when making decisions on when schools are closed.

Together We Discover, Learn, Grow & Care

At D64, our mission is to foster opportunities for discovery, engagement, and growth for all students. We accomplish this by nurturing interdependence, appreciation of differences, and care for self and others.
